The New Year ... Let's Be Selfish

Sometimes we slow down enough to realize that we've spent a bit too much time in the shadow of someone or something else. Even in the shadow of ourselves.

Sometimes we forget the power of who we are.

Sometimes we wonder who the hell we are, where the world ends and where we begin.

Sometimes the line is so blurred that we can only "imagine" who we are. Sometimes we question our own value, our own worthiness. Sometimes we step outside of ourselves...look back...and wonder who we are meant to be.

Sometimes there is something in us that says...there's more. We hear it beneath the feathers of our wings, we hear the whispers and the songs of our heart saying yes...there is more...there is you.

So, this New Year you get to be on a journey in the discovery of you. You get to be "Selfish."

To begin this journey, I submit that you revisit the blog category Coping to Thriving. There you will find, 1st Realizing That You Are Meant to Be Here https://www.wetalkingrief.com/post/you-are-meant-to-be-here. 2nd Embracing Your Special Kind of Beautiful https://www.wetalkingrief.com/post/discovering-your-special-kind-of-beautiful. And 3rd, revisit Winter is Coming https://www.wetalkingrief.com/post/winter-is-coming and create your list of 2024 soul-level accomplishments. We have all accomplished things, we tend to acknowledge and list the obvious. What I am asking is that you make a list of what it took from you, what you had to sacrifice, what you had to give, or allow to happen, in order to accomplish that thing. That's the soul-level stuff you get to list.

Then, in the blog category of New Beginnings, revisit This Thanksgiving https://www.wetalkingrief.com/post/this-thanksgiving.

Feel what's being said and when you're ready to move forward and only when you're ready to move forward let's get to focusing on forging a new horizon, leveling-up our self-talk, our thoughts, our dreams and desires. This New Year begins now as we commit to creating new authentic ways of being, doing, and having ... on purpose.

We are constituting our thriving. It's never too late. This New Year we are accepting that thriving is our birthright. We are relinquishing any past concepts that we held true that says otherwise. Selfishly we engage in the day-to-day fulfillment of our lives by ensuring that we are consistently vibrating at a frequency that first "lessens" then "eliminates" stress, worry, fear, loneliness and imbalances in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. We will learn to not compromise our truths but get the support we need to live in them.

Being oh so busy is not a beautiful thing, it's a distraction, like so many other distractions designed to keep us from spending the time necessary to hear our own voices. Being still, taking the time to hear one's own voice, listening to our bodies, feeling what is true, learning new things, creating new beginnings, leveling-up our self-talk, learning to let go, trusting in the power of surrender, is what we're doing.

This New Year we get to unpack the many layers of false realities used to ensure our complacency and conformity. We get to level-up our way of being in the experience of our living.

This New Year we are checking in with ourselves and asking, "is this my Truth." If it is not...then we will not. We are done compromising our lives so that someone else can live their best life.

This New Year... Let's be Selfish!
